Mega Union has actively engaged in charity, community participation, and educational donation activities. Our goal is to continue promoting corporate social responsibility and spark ideas for more positive care and mutual support in this country.


Mega Union believes in the concept that "it takes ten years to cultivate trees, and it takes a hundred years to cultivate people.” In 2022, we raised school funds by establishing and supporting the Private School Promotion Foundation at St. John's University to execute the school's sustainable development operations. According to the law, the company has formulated various internal regulations and sustainable development codes. The chairman's office is a part-time unit promoting sustainable development operations. The company shall formulate risk management policies as well as mid- to long-term business strategies and report to the board of directors on ESG-related promotion.

In 2023, we also participated in the net-zero transformation promotion plan led by the Ministry of Economic Affairs for the manufacturing sector. Our most important task as TSMC's water resources and environmental protection supplier is to follow in TSMC's footsteps and complete TSMC's net-zero transformation requirements on the relevant supply chain.



In addition, we have implemented irregular promotions for all employees to cooperate with the relevant sustainability implementations. We promote electronic sign-off, reduce paper use, and take other waste-reduction measures. We will also continue to implement carbon-cutting measures in our day-to-day operations. To fulfill its corporate social responsibilities and protect the basic human rights of all employees and stakeholders, the company has supported and voluntarily abided by the international human rights convention known as the "United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights.” The goal is to respect internationally recognized basic human rights and formulate the company's human rights policy according to the guiding principles of the preceding declaration.
The following are the human rights issues and policies of concern for the company based on its operating projects and characteristics:
One. Provide a fair working environment: No unfair or differential treatment due to personal gender, race, socioeconomic status, nationality, age, marriage, family status, language, religion, party, appearance, height, and physical or mental disabilities.
Two. Provide a safe working environment: The company values a safe and healthy working environment for its employees and has established an occupational safety and health management organization to improve the working environment and sanitary conditions. The goal is to reduce occupational disaster risks and protect the employees' physical and mental health.
Three. The company complies with government labor regulations, does not employ child labor, regularly monitors and manages employee attendance, and prohibits forced labor. The company provides employees with smooth communication channels and offers a workplace environment with harmonious labor relations.
Four. Implement information security: The company has established a complete information security management mechanism to control data access, prevent data leakage, respect the privacy rights of all stakeholders, and protect the collection and legal use of personal data.

The company hopes that all partners, including suppliers and contractors, will collaborate to improve the management of human rights-related issues and international human rights awareness according to this policy's spirit and basic principles.
